this case is too big for the canon sd780is, the camera slides around in it. the case itself is well made and the magnet keeps the flap closed -- its okay

This is a nice case for the price. Not really made for the canon powershot SD980IS... a taller camera would fit a little better. Looks like it would be perfect for the SD780. I would still recommend this case for anyone that is looking for a durable inexspensive case for their digital camera, and it should fit most compacts. -- Good value
