My husband bought both of us Nooks from Barnes and Noble recently. We both wanted a cover to protect our new investments. He bought one from Barnes & Noble at the store. I wasn't really impressed with his cover or the other covers at the store. Not a lot of variety and was unsure about how secure it would be with only the elastic bands holding it in the cover. When I searched for more covers at the B&N website I was horrified to see the prices of the covers they had. They cost more than the Nook itself. Their selections were not that impressive either.
A quick search led me to Amazon where I found this seller. A large variety of covers in great prices. My cover arrived today in great condition and quicker than I thought it would. I'm impressed with how sturdy the cover is. It is more of a teal than blue, but that's okay. Like having the window to put my ID for it in case it gets lost. I don't have any qualms about putting my nook in my bag and keeping it protected. Thanks. -- Much better than the "official" Nook covers from B&N

I had originally purchased one of the Barnes & Noble faux leather cases when I got my Nook. It looked nice and had a good feel to it, but after a few days of use, I could tell it probably wasn't going to last long. For one thing, the elastic bands that hold the top of the Nook in place were making the back of the case bend inward. I looked at all the other cases B&N offered but wasn't too impressed with any of them. So I went online to search for better protection for my investment.

I was surprised when a search result led me to Amazon. I order from Amazon all the time, but the last things I expected it to sell were accessories for the Nook, Kindle's biggest competitor. I read reviews of JAVOedge's products on various blogs and consumer sites, and I hadn't read much in the way of negative feedback. So I ordered the teal cherry blossom book-style cover, hoping I'd like it better than the B&N cover that I have since returned to the store.

I was so pleased when I took this case out of the plastic wrapping. The fabric has a really nice texture and vibrant colors, not to mention a beautiful cherry blossom design. The tan interior color seems a bit outdated, but I suppose it contrasts nicely with the teal exterior, so I don't mind it too much. The case fits the Nook like a glove. All the ports, buttons and touch screen are easily accessible so you don't have to remove the Nook from the case when using it. The front flap folds back nicely for one-hand reading. There's a pocket and a business card holder on the inside, but I haven't found use for them yet. It's still nice having them in case I ever need them.

I'm very happy with my purchase and will look to JAVOedge in the future when I need to protect my other electronics. -- Much Better Than the B&N Cases

I tried out the cases offered for the nook at BN and was disappointed by the look and the design of them. This case looks really nice and has a comfortable feel to it. The nook slides completely into the case and is in danger of moving or falling out. The front of the case has gentle magnets to keep the case closed when carrying it in a purse or other sort of bag. The front of the case also folds comfortably back behind the nook allowing you to use the nook comfortably one handed still. The case doesn't interfere with any of the buttons and overall is the best case I have seen for the nook! Stitching and fabric quality are both wonderful. -- Better than what BN offers!

This case is very attractive, sturdy and protects your NOOK. I feel more confident handling the nook and the back is like a photo case hinge so you can prop up the Nook while you read. I think this case is well worth the price. -- Cherry Blossom Case
