User Reviews about SOLO D535-3 Classic Collection Colombian Leather 16" Laptop Portfolio - Espresso
I originally bought the 17" Swiss Army wheeled computer case which works great except when all the overhead compartments are full in an overbooked flight, which seemingly more common these days. Unfortunately, my fully loaded case would not fit under the seat so I'd have to either put it on my lap or dreadfully check it.
This 16" Solo case holds the same amount of stuff (tightly) and fits under the seat with ease. It doesn't have wheels, but the case itself is light so carrying it via strap is not a problem.
It looks great and is quite versatile. Looks just fine dressed up in a suit and tie, or dressed down in flip-flops and cargo shorts.
They also stock them in Staples if you wanted to go someplace and see it before you buy it online. -- Looks great and holds all my junk
Similar to other comments it's a great bag but I agree the closure straps should be adjustable, buy a leather punch, and the magnetic clips on the back flap aren't real user friendly, but I still give it 5 stars, for the price you can't beat it! -- You should purchase this
This case is lovely and so practical. It was a gift to someone and they couldn't be more pleased. It not only carries your laptop but has plenty of room for files, etc. in a separate compartment which keeps them from wrinkling. Thank you for carrying this at a very competitive price. -- Solo D535-3 Collection Colombian Leather Portfolio
When I turned 35 I decided I needed to stop traveling and coming in to work with a fabric backpack slung over my shoulder. I got this bag on a whim and think it's terrific. Plenty of room for your MacBook Pro and your doodads. It is extremely light and removing the shoulder strap to carry it like a briefcase is easy as pie.
However, I have had the bag for a few years now and it is starting to show signs of wear and tear. The metal rings that connect the straps on the top of the bag are held in place by screw-bolts. The bolts loosen up over time, and I have lost them twice and had to dig in my car for the screws. Replacing them with a trip to the store would be impossible.
Also, the metal "snaps" that hold the front flap closed end up being metal-on-metal. When you walk, they "click". They also vibrate against each other when the bag is sitting in your car. That can drive you nuts if you can't get to them.
But why am I complaining? The bag is extremely useful, stylish-yet-classic, and it beats a neon-orange fabric bag by Targus. -- A stylish bag for grown-ups
I bought this as a gift for my brother who's a med student. He absolutely loves it and says that it works perfectly for carrying around all of his necessities. He has a wide screen laptop which fits very nicely into the protective sleeve. Lots of pockets to keep track of the little things and roomy enough for files, paperwork, books, etc. The leather is a dark chocolate brown...a little more rugged than the standard black laptop bag/briefcase--perfect for my brother! -- Great Leather Bag
